T Shirt Print Locations

Today we cover the basic print locations on a T Shirt. Understanding print locations and print sizes will definitely help with developing a much more effective design. The last thing you want is to have to compromise on a design that you have either paid for or spent hours developing yourself.

While it is possible to print on any location on a t shirt using Sublimation printing, we will be focusing on the more common silkscreen and digital transfer printing.

Below are the available print areas on a shirt including the recommended maximum dimensions for each area.

Front / Back Centre Area

260 mm x 260mm

A4 or 210 mm x 297 mm

A3 or 297 mm x 420 mm

Right / Left Hand Chest Area

110 mm x 110 mm

Sleeve

100 mm x 100 mm

Stick to these print areas and recommended dimensions when looking at silkscreen or digital transfer print projects. These given dimensions also will ensure that your design will look great across the whole size range and even across mens, womens and youth styles.
